As a 13-year-old he had started to experiment with wires and created machines like audio amplifier, ham radio among many others. However, his dream saw a halt when he was unable to clear the engineering entrance exam and had to pursue B.Ss. Three years after completing his graduation he was able to secure a seat in a private engineering college to follow his passion.
It is his passion and faith that helped him complete his engineering dream and secure a job at a Delhi based PCO company at their R&D department. While working here he was able to gain market understating and customer pain points which led him to take the plunge and start his own venture in 1996. He put all his life savings into the business and Star Link was born in his 2BHK. He continued operating from his home with two other family members and within a few months were creating 1500-2000 pieces of a revolutionary machine which helped a common man with a landline connection make a STD call, thus eliminating the need to visit a PCO shop. They were the first ones in India to create this unique solution and were recognized by the Department of Telecom in the year 1998 for the same.
Since its inception, Vipin has been growing Star Link with futuristic solutions. He works on the principle that the customer is not looking for a product but a holistic solution that can solve a business issue and help drive value.
